Prestressed steel wire drawing machine is made of high-quality high-carbon steel wire rod (high carbon wire rod), which is surface-treated and then cold-drawn. The carbon content of the steel is selected in the range of 0.6-0.9. It must undergo pickling, phosphating or other forms before cold-drawing. Surface treatment, the cross-sectional area will generally be reduced by 50-85% after cold drawing, and the strength will be improved through the principle of cold work hardening. If the cold-drawn prestressed steel wire is stabilized, it will become a low relaxation prestressed steel wire, obtain low relaxation characteristics, and significantly improve the yield strength, elongation and straightness. If it is galvanized, it becomes a galvanized prestressed steel wire. The steel wire that has been stabilized after galvanizing is called a low-relaxation galvanized prestressed steel wire. Steel wire is generally delivered in coil form. When used in railway sleepers, it can be cut to length and delivered in bundles as needed. The diameter of prestressed steel wire is generally in the range of 4-12 mm. The high strength of this material is mainly manifested in the axial direction, and is significantly lower in the radial direction.
