PC Steel Wire (Steel Wire For Prestressed Concrete) Is A High-Strength, High-Toughness Steel Wire Made By Cold Drawing Or Cold Rolling. It Is Usually Made Of Carbon Steel Or Low-Alloy Steel And Is Surface Treated (Such As Galvanizing, Ring Coating) To Enhance Corrosion Resistance. Its Tensile Strength Generally Reaches 14701860MPa, And Its Elongation Is Not Less Than 4%. It Is Widely Used In Prestressed Concrete Structures. By Pre-Applying Tensile Stress To Offset The Compressive Stress Generated By External Loads, The Bearing Capacity And Durability Of Concrete Components Are Improved.
Cold-drawn steel wire for making reinforcement bars in tension areas of prestressed concrete members. Generally, concrete has high strength to compressive force, but it shows brittleness when it is subjected to tensile force, and it is easy to crack. Prestressed concrete is to make the steel bar in the tension area of the member bear a tensile force in advance and produce a pre-tensile stress. The pre-tensile stress on the steel bar reacts to the concrete in the tension zone, causing it to bear a pre-compressive stress. In actual work, this precompression stress can offset or reduce the tensile stress of the external load on the concrete, thus greatly improving the ability of the tension area to resist the tension, thus reducing the size of the component, saving materials and reducing the weight of the component.
