Wire Strand Drawing Machine

The wire drawing machine for steel strands is a specialized equipment designed to produce raw materials for prestressed steel strands-specifically high-strength monofilaments. Compared to conventional wire drawing machines, its core function lies in ensuring the stability and precision of high-strength wires during high-speed drawing with large compression ratios.

  • High-strength drawing system: Featuring a straight-through structure, it typically includes 8 to 12 drawing passes. By distributing the deformation across multiple passes with low compression ratios, the resistance to deformation in each individual pass is reduced. The compression ratio per pass generally ranges between 15% and 25%.
  • High-capacity processing: capable of handling rod raw materials with diameters ranging from Ф6.5mm to Ф12mm; special models can accommodate input wire diameters up to Ф20mm, with finished monofilament diameter precisely controlled between Ф0.8mm and Ф5.0mm.
  • High speed and high precision: The maximum drawing speed can reach 15–25 m/s, with AC frequency conversion speed control maintaining speed fluctuations within ±0.5%, and the finished product diameter tolerance controlled at the ±0.01 mm level.
  • Powerful Cooling: To handle the significant heat generated during high-carbon steel drawing, the equipment is typically equipped with a combined cooling system featuring three water-cooling circuits and two air-cooling circuits, ensuring controlled temperatures for the roll and die.
