Technical Requirements For Annealing Wire Drawing Machines

The technical requirements of the annealing wire drawing machine are mainly as follows:
1. The annealing voltage, wire drawing speed and wire take-up speed should be synchronized.
2. The annealing current is proportional to the square of the annealing wire diameter, and the annealing current should be set according to the wire diameter. Ensure that the performance of the annealed soft copper wire meets the requirements of GB3953 or the ideal performance.
3. The take-up tension is adjusted through the pressure of the thread storage cylinder.
4. The diameter deviation of copper wire should comply with the regulations of GB3953.
Common problems encountered during annealing of copper wire: The copper wire hardens during the drawing process. After annealing and softening, the tensile strength of the copper wire decreases, and the plasticity and elongation increase. Under the action of take-up tension, the reduction of wire diameter is an inevitable phenomenon. However, the reduction range of the wire diameter should be controlled, generally no more than 0.02mm (determined according to the size of the wire diameter). If the take-up tension is reduced, the copper wire between the annealing wheels will vibrate, resulting in poor contact, sparks, easy wire breakage and accelerated damage to the annealing wheels. Therefore, the take-up tension should be selected according to the wire diameter, and the amount of wire diameter reduction should be added to the aperture of the sizing die.
